Dates

This season the market runs from 20 November to 23 December 2026. Unlike Kraków or Wrocław, it does not stay open over Christmas or New Year.

Several milk bars are in the Main Town, a few minutes from Targ Węglowy. A set lunch (soup and a main) at a milk bar usually costs 25–35 zł, about the price of two cups of mulled wine at the market. Do as the locals do: a proper hot lunch first, then back to the stalls after dark when the lights come on. These are the closest.
